When I look back at my photographs over the years, I've really come to appreciate the candid pictures. The moments that make you feel like a fly on the wall; witnessing a beautifully raw moment between a couple, family, or even a child unaffected by my camera's presence. Here are a few of my favorites!
This bride and groom chose to get ready for their big day together. It was so sweet, emotional, and tender to see them enjoy such a private time together. But this photo...! It makes me grin ear to ear every time I look at it!
One of the best (and sometimes challenging) things about photographing children is you don't know what they are going to do next! But you won't hear me complain about perfectly timed giggles!
I love photographing couples! There are so many exchanges during a photoshoot, but it's hard to beat genuine laughter!
The other thing about photographing kids - they don't always want to smile, stay still, or follow direction. In this first photograph Taylor had noticed ants marching along the beam. She was drawn to watching them work and luckily I caught her fascination just in time! In the second picture, Rylee had no interest in smiling for me. At first glance you might throw it out, and I am SO glad that I didn't! It honestly is one of my favorite portraits I've taken!
We are constantly multi-tasking as photographers, but remember to notice the moments in-between. I promise you'll be delightfully surprised! I hope you enjoyed these as much as I do and thanks for stopping by!
